Miton’s Telephone Interpreting platform, InterpreterLine, is designed for Language Service Providers (LSPs) offering over-the-phone interpreting (OPI). The platform can be run as a fully automated service that allows LSPs to manage and operate their OPI services in a more efficient way.


The platform quickly connects LSP’s clients with that LSP’s interpreters. To increase efficiency and for ease of use, both clients and interpreters can access InterpreterLine via a mobile app (iOS and Android), which can be branded with the client’s logo. Calls can be operator attended or un-attended and a 24/7 service can be operated if desired, with facilities to transfer calls to back-up agencies when needed.  


A key benefit is that multiple parties can be added to the call. The platform has an in-built interpreter and customer management system that allows for the billing of both clients and interpreters. In addition, the platform allows for reporting on daily data for figures and productivity.


Miton does not have its own interpreters and is not therefore competitive with its LSPs.

InterpreterLine comes with a variety of plans, tailored to the customer’s needs. There is a small setup fee and then clients are charged per minute for usage, including the LSP’s telephone call charges. The company provides price breaks and discounts based on volumes of calls. There is no need for any additional telephony equipment.
