A recent survey of localization buyers on the use of neural machine translation (NMT) in their organizations carried out by Nimdzi shows that less than a quarter has implemented the tech.

NMT is not seeing too much use. Here are a couple of reasons why:

  • NMT is a niche technology, just one part of the overall localization process in a company. Good old translation isn’t going away just yet. 
  • MT and NMT are best suited for a specific type of content such as eDiscovery or pharmacovigilance. Content matters, when faced with a decision to use NMT or not.
