Iconic Translation Machines is a language technology software provider specializing in the development of best-in-class custom neural machine translation (NMT) solutions which are adapted for specific industries and blue-chip clients. Iconic was founded in 2013 by Dr John Tinsley and Dr Páraic Sheridan and was incubated by Dublin City University.
RWS is one of the largest language providers in the world and a leading provider of intellectual property support services (patent translations, international patent filing solutions and searches), a market leader in life sciences translations and linguistic validation and a leading localization provider.
Nimdzi provided strategic planning services to RWS and broker services to Iconic. Following the transaction, Iconic was integrated into RWS to form a new vertical language technology business unit. This new vertical will continue to be led by Iconic’s co-founders Dr John Tinsley and Dr Páraic Sheridan.
