Daniela D’Amato is the Operations Manager at Creative Words, a Language Service Provider based in Genoa. With a BA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Genoa and an MA in translation from the University of Surrey, she soon realised that rather than being a hands-on linguist she would prefer a role where she could be “in charge”. She began her career as a Localization Project Manager in London in 2011 and later carried the title with her to other localization companies in Milan and in Genoa, before becoming Operations Manager at Creative Words in 2018. She is currently also the Events Manager at the Italian Chapter of Women in Localization, Genoa LocLunch Ambassador and has won the ATC Innovator of the Year award in 2020. At Creative Words she is responsible for managing all departments of the Company from an operational point of view, by making sure the Company reaches all its goals.
